Different instruments have different opening and closing times, depending on the asset class and exchange on which they are traded. During closing times, you cannot open any position.

To help investors avoid missing valuable trading opportunities, eToro provides its clients the ability to set orders after market hours. The trade will be automatically executed at the first available rate when the market opens.

To set an after-hours order, follow the steps below:

1. After logging in eToro account, choose an instrument you want to invest in and click ‘TRADE’.

A popup window with the trade parameters will appear.

2. Select ‘Sell’ or ‘Buy’ for your trade. Then set the trade parameters (including the amount of capital, stop loss, take profit, and leverage), as illustrated below:

3. Click ‘SET ORDER’ to place the trade.

Then the trade will be executed immediately when the market is open.

Once you complete, the cash amount allocated to the order will no longer be available for trading, unless you cancel the order.

To see your order’s status, click on the ‘Portfolio’ > ‘Pending Orders’ under the two-opposing-arrows icon.
